The pipe organ at St Andrew's was custom built for the church in 1976    It has two manuals and pedal board with a combination of 28 stops.   A full range of  couplers and tremulants contribute  to the quality and versatility  of this fine musical instrument. The Church also boasts a Yamaha grand piano.

Sung Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday at 10am, based on the Order for Holy Communion Rite A, except for the second Sunday in each month when a more informal Family Service is held.    Hymns for Holy Communion are a mixture of traditional and more contemporary  compositions,   predominantly from Hymns Ancient & Modern (New Edition), and from Songs of Fellowship.    Music for the Gloria and sung elements of the Eucharistic Prayers alternates between Rutter and Stanford.  Choir anthems are included periodically as appropriate.   Music at some Holy Communion services is supplemented by a group of instrumentalists and singers - the church Music Group.

Music for Evening Praise worship is in more modern style, with music and accompaniment by the Music Group.

Average attendance by choristers at Holy Communion is around 28; usually well balanced across the Treble/Soprano, Alto, tenor and Bass sections.

Music for Special Occasions

The choir is committed to learning several new anthems and one major work each year.
